If your dog has started pausing at the bottom of the stairs, or not jumping up into the car like they used to, you're in the right place.

Gray Muzzle Gear is a directory of gear for older dogs: ramps, steps, lift harnesses, beds, strollers and the other things that help a slowing dog keep doing what they love. We pull the specs together, explain what they mean, and help you narrow the list to what will actually fit your dog and your home.

How we help

Shopping for an older dog usually comes down to a few numbers that are easy to miss: how high your bed is, how much your dog weighs, how wide the stairs are. Stores carry great gear, but every product page is laid out a little differently, so comparing takes time. We line those numbers up side by side and let you filter by your dog and your space.

For ramps we go one step further. Most ramps don't say how steep they'll be, so we work out the angle from the ramp's length and the height you enter. That way you can see which ramps will feel gentle at your bed or tailgate before you buy. Our gentle, moderate and steeper labels are our own guide, not veterinary advice. Our inspiration for Gray Muzzle Gear

Lola was our much-loved Sheepadoodle. We lost her a few years ago, but she left us with countless happy memories. When we let Lola's coat grow out, she looked like an Old English Sheepdog. That shaggy face, especially as she got older, became the inspiration for our logo. So if it makes you smile when you see it, know that it makes us smile too.
